Within this meeting I began to think about my own project and the importance of making spaces accessible both physically and emotionally.

Approach local theatres about putting on the one women show.

Draft of the script and COPY

“In my mind I start to wonder whether badness is genetically passed down. Whether I'm destined to take it too far and end up at the bottom of my own tree, in my own garden with a daughter of my own that can’t quite call me mum. I clear the tears off my damp cheeks and use the silence to soften my concerns . After all, I’ve never had the urge to have children and I've accidentally killed every plant I’ve ever owned.”

This one woman show explores the story of El, a 26-year-old who left her hometown 10 years ago to escape her mother and parts of herself. However, after no previous communication her mother sends her a letter. Enclosed is a train ticket and a promise of change and growth. So, we follow El “home” as memories and grief follow her, hand in hand with closure, laughter, and the consequences of her mother's alcohol induced absence.
